These rigs are built using a tapered leader which holds the bait closer to the bottom. These rigs are designed and built for bottom feeding fish. The hooked bait attaches to a special hook keeper, so it stays behind the sinker and won’t tangle or catch wind. Once the rig lands, the hooked bait breaks free to float or rest above the bottom.
